What Is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a natural system of medicine which has been in use for over 200 years. The holistic nature of homeopathy means each person is treated as a unique individual and their body, mind, spirit and emotions are all considered in the management and prevention of disease. We use mostly remedies made from minerals and plants which stimulate the patient’s own vitality and healing force to remove often deep seated and longstanding symptoms. Homeopathy is used by over 200 million people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions.
What Happens in a Consultation?
With homeopathy we are treating the whole person, so in a consultation we as for meticulous details of the person’s complaint, but also ask about their personality, mood, likes and dislikes and family history. Everything is important. That’s why an initial consultation takes 1 ½ hours! We are choosing a remedy that fits the whole picture of the patient. Homeopathy is safe to use, effective, gentle and has no side effects.
What can homeopathy treat?
Most illness can respond to homeopathy if it is possible to find the correct homeopathic remedy for the individual case. That is the key with homeopathy: finding just the right remedy for the patient. Conditions we see commonly include irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, allergy problems, hay fever, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraine, menstrual, peri-menopausal and menopausal issues, and childhood disorders like hyperactivity.
